G-Form LLC, a leading sports protective gear brand,  announced that Glen “Gava” Giovanucci will become chief executive officer of the company at the end of August.

Giovanucci will be taking on this leadership role following a highly successful track record of driving significant growth across a diverse set of sporting goods brands.

“I look forward to leading G-Form and working closely with the Board of Directors and employees to build on the shared vision of using technology to revolutionize sports protection,” said Giovanucci.  “G-Form has made a strong impact within the bike, soccer and baseball protective gear markets in a relatively short amount of time. Consumers are embracing the brand’s unique technology and this acceptance lends itself to work as a leadership team to determine what’s next for G-Form both inside and outside of those categories”

“Gava is exactly the type of leader that G-Form needs to position G-Form for continued growth,” said Jay Piccola, interim CEO and member of G-Form’s Board of Directors. “He has consistently delivered on ensuring the culture of the company is nurtured to achieve success.”

Piccola will remain on through September to assist in Giovanucci’s transition to the company. Piccola will return to his position on the Board.

“During his role as interim CEO, Jay Piccola has dedicated his time to implement an organizational structure focused on growth and create a platform to capitalize upon G-Form’s unique story, advanced products and smart technology,” said Ron Roberts, Chair of G-Form’s Board of Directors. “Jay has done an exceptional job in his role and working together with Gava, there will be a smooth transition.”
